Call for Thyroid Research Grants

The ATA is pleased to announce the availability of funds from ThyCa, ATA, and Bite Me Cancer to support new investigator-initiated research projects in the area of thyroid disease and thyroid cancer.  

Research awards are intended to assist new investigators, US or international, in obtaining preliminary data for submission of a more substantial application (e.g. to the National Institutes of Health [NIH]). 

ATA is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and we encourage women and those underrepresented in science and medicine to apply. Please review the 2022 Call for Research Proposals before proceeding.

The ATA Research Committee will commence their review of the short proposals in February 2022 and subsequently invite selected proposals for to submit a full application in April. Long applications will be reviewed through May and the final decision will be emailed in June/July 2022. Be sure to check back here for updates on the status of your research grant application.  

  • Short Proposal Due Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
  • First Round Decisions and Invitations to Submit a Long Application by April 30, 2022
  • Long Application Due in May 2022  (Date: TBD)
  • Final Decisions and Award Notifications Sent in June/July 2022.
